How do I set up Matomo on WordPress?
You have two options. The “Matomo Analytics” plugin runs Matomo directly inside WordPress (no separate server needed). The “Connect Matomo” plugin connects WordPress to an existing external Matomo instance.
For small sites, the built-in plugin is the simplest choice. For larger sites or multiple domains, use a dedicated Matomo On-Premise or Cloud instance and connect it with the plugin or manually with the tracking code.
