How long does a Google Analytics import take?
It depends on your data volume. A site with one year of moderate traffic (under 100,000 visits/month) typically imports in a few hours. Sites with multiple years and millions of visits can take days or even weeks.
The import runs in the background and does not affect your current Matomo tracking. You can monitor progress in the Matomo admin panel. We recommend starting the import early and letting it run without interruption.
